RSS is a wonderful tool, you can many articles explaining what can be done.
To understand RSS, I personally started by poking around looking at other peoples feed files and tested some these tools listed here:

HTML2RSS: Most blogging software automatically generates feeds or have plugins, so you may not need these. Go directly to the next step: Validators

Validate: It’s allway good to check it to see if it’s readable to all readers and tools.
